My name is Rebecca Fowler. I am a transition specialist, fractional operational leader, executive coach, and consultant. I have spent nearly three decades working across organizational leadership, sourcing strategy, risk and compliance, and executive coaching.
I am based in Southern California, on the unceded ancestral lands of the Kizh, Cahuilla, and Paymókawichum peoples. I am a partner, a parent, and a grandparent. I am a contemplative and spiritual practitioner of more than twenty years.
Proserpina is the Roman goddess who descends into the underworld and returns transformed. I chose to name my practice for Proserpina to remind us all that the unexpected journeys and transitions of our lives leave us forever changed. Yet, no matter how challenging our circumstances become, just as spring always returns, we come back with renewed life, energy, and hope. The hard chapters, the transitions, the losses, the seasons that knock you sideways: they are the material. Our work together is to help you make use of them and rise to meet whatever comes next.
I believe in the full humanity and dignity of every person, that love is love, and that our struggles for justice and wholeness are bound together. Whoever you are, wherever you are coming from, and whatever choices have brought you to this moment: you are welcome here. If you are doing the work of becoming more fully yourself, I would love to work with you.
My academic background includes undergraduate and graduate degrees in literature, psychology, and leadership development, with a Master’s specialization in coaching.
My hope is that I can help you live a life full of more Love, Truth, and Wisdom, while learning to approach yourself and others with gratitude and compassion.
Love - Truth - Wisdom - Gratitude - Compassion
Proserpina Returns works with leaders in transition, women navigating midlife, executives at a professional crossroads, and anyone ready to do the real work of becoming who they actually are.
